Church Compliance Officer (U.S. and Eastern Africa)
JESUS CHRIST MARANATHA GLOBAL MINISTRIES INC is seeking applicants for Church Compliance Officer (U.S. and Eastern Africa) role.
Job duties include: Create and maintain written policies, procedures, and codes of conduct to guide Jesus Christ Maranatha Global Ministries' (J.C. Maranatha's) operations including its churches, programs and projects in the U.S. and Swahili speaking countries such as Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, the DRC, Malawi and the wider Eastern African region; Regularly check that the organization, its mission and values, churches, programs and projects are adhering to all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies while accomplishing the goal of spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ; Perform both systematic and random audits to identify potential compliance issues and non-compliance situations; Provide training and education to J.C. Maranatha's staff, volunteers, and members on compliance requirements and policies; Ensure that all necessary compliance information is communicated effectively within the ministry and it's churches; Provide regular reports to all ministry, church, program and project leadership teams on compliance efforts and potential risks; Work closely with leadership to incorporate compliance into all aspects of the Christian ministry's operations; Identify potential compliance risks and implement strategies to mitigate them; Develop and implement corrective actions to address any identified non-compliance issues.
Requires Bachelor’s degree in Church Governance, Compliance, Ecumenical Compliance and Ethics, Law, Church Administration, Business Administration, Legal Studies or similar field; 24 months experience in a compliance or legal or similar field in either a religious or secular nonprofit or for-profit organization. Language skills required: English and Swahili.

Church Officer (Swahili Projects Due Diligence)

Job duties include: Assisting in evaluating proposals for programs and projects in Swahili-speaking regions to ensure they align with Jesus Christ Maranatha Global Ministries’ mission and values, and to assess their financial viability and ethical implications; Implementing and monitoring internal controls for the organization and its churches to prevent fraud, waste, and abuse; Helping the organization identify areas to save on costs and improve financial performance; Assisting in developing and monitoring budgets and financial forecasts for the organization and its churches; Evaluating potential vendors and suppliers to ensure they are reputable and reliable; Preparing reports on financial management and assessments, risk assessments, and due diligence findings; Conducting thorough background checks on contractors to ensure they meet legal and ethical standards.

Church Development Expert (U.S. and Eastern Africa)
JESUS CHRIST MARANATHA GLOBAL MINISTRIES INC is seeking applicants for Church Development Expert (U.S. and Eastern Africa) role.
Job duties include: Act as principal advisor on institutional strengthening to Jesus Christ Maranatha Global Ministries Inc’ (J.C. Maranatha) executive leadership, its churches’ pastoral and eldership teams, and leaders of church-funded projects in the United States and Eastern Africa region; Help conduct organizational development reviews for the organization’s evangelistic, community development and humanitarian projects, propose and make approved adjustments to promote operational efficiency and effectiveness; Conduct capacity and needs assessments for inter-church and inter-organization coordination arrangements initiated by J.C. Maranatha, its churches, affiliates and partners; Develop and integrate tools for monitoring and reporting on the community development initiatives of the organization, its churches, and other types of Christian-based projects; Lead teams to conduct field implementation reviews and develop the church and project analysis and progress reports for J.C. Maranatha’s executive leadership team; Train staff in project management including how to implement the approved projects in accordance with J.C. Maranatha approved guidelines to ensure evangelistic and humanitarian program quality; Support J.C. Maranatha’s executive leadership team in developing and rolling out Ministry tools to develop capacity of Christian converts in their secular careers.

Ministry Outreach Coordinator I (Swahili)

Job duties include: Develop strategic relationships with Swahili-speaking Christian churches and other affiliated organizations based in the US and African countries like Kenya and Tanzania; Perform administrative duties such as overseeing mailings, organizing travel, and monitoring budget information; Conduct spot checks on Swahili ministry publications such as books and brochures and report any arising quality issues to the management; Develop press releases, ministry updates, brochures, and other Swahili-outreach program materials; Create and maintain the organization's social media outreaches to Swahili speakers; Organize outreach events, including marketing, and planning, to promote the religious activities of the organization and fundraising.
